When she is not here (2023)

When filmmaker Wieke Kapteijns was six years old, his mother passed away. He was left with a silent father, two younger sisters, and a fading memory of his mother. A quarter-century later, he embarks on a journey to find her. Through objects, photos, home videos, and found footage, he not only reconstructs an image of the woman his mother was but also discovers for the first time what he truly missed.
